‘Appy’ Holidays with my Travel Cash

This spring, my Travel Cash, a prepaid MasterCard® currency card provider, is launching an exciting new mobile app allowing cardholders to conveniently manage their card from their mobile phone, no matter where they are in the world.1

The new my Travel Cash Mobile App is free to download, free to use and will now make it even easier for holidaymakers and travellers to top up their card, manage their account, check balance details and recent transactions, access help and FAQs and if necessary, report their card lost or stolen.

Built with security in mind, the app has been created using bank-grade security and uses Payment Card Industry standards to protect users’ details. Users simply set up a personalised log in and password on registration to access their my Travel Cash account and enter their bank card details when they want to transfer funds.

For added convenience customers can click-to-call through the contact us page to go straight through to the my Travel Cash customer support team to handle any queries or emergencies. And with customer service at the fore, my Travel Cash now provides 24/7 access to its dedicated support team.

Ensuring competitive rates for cardholders, my Travel Cash updates its currency exchange rate every fifteen minutes. Furthermore, using the app is as secure as using the website to manage accounts and upload funds, as users are required to log in every time they want to use the app. Payments are made via the Realex secure mobile payment system, offering peace of mind.

The app is available from the App Store and Google Play™ and currently, it is compatible with iPhones and Android smartphones. For other handsets, all the features are available on the my Travel Cash mobile website, where users can manage their travel money on the go.

my Travel Cash offers Euro, US Dollar and Multi-Currency prepaid cards. It does not charge ATM withdrawal fees*, offers 1% cashback on all purchases, and there is no card issue fee (minimum load applies). It offers competitive exchange rates, which are updated on the website every 15 minutes.

Prepaid cards offer greater security than cash. They are protected by Chip & PIN, and are not linked to a customer’s bank account, meaning in the event of theft, their account isn’t compromised.

my Travel Cash also provides a Currency Home Delivery Service for 20 different currencies. Customers can order before 2pm for next day delivery or delivery can be scheduled to arrive up to 7 days after the order has been placed including Saturdays (for a £2 additional fee).
