my Travel Cash teams up with children's charity When You Wish Upon A Star to help grant wishes for children with terminal illnesses.

my Travel Cash, a prepaid MasterCard® currency card provider, has become a fundraising partner for When You Wish Upon A Star and, as part of the initiative, will be giving its customers the option to donate to the charity via its 1% cashback facility.

For all purchases made on a my Travel Cash card, 1% is credited back onto the card account, but now cardholders will have the option of donating their cashback to When you Wish Upon A Star, which grants wishes to children suffering from life-threatening illnesses.

When You Wish Upon a Star is a small charity based in the East Midlands whose primary aim is to grant the Wishes of children suffering from life threatening illnesses. It launched in 1990, and has granted over 14,500 wishes for some very brave and courageous children and their families.

How our donations are spent:

• £300 - Pays for a VIP experience in a limousine to meet a favourite celebrity
• £500 - Will buy a Wii console and games
• £1,000 - Pays for a home cinema system for a child who is housebound during long periods of treatment
• £3,000 - Pays for a 5-day break to Disney Paris, for a very special child and their family to meet Mickey Mouse and friends
• £7,000 - Creates a magical family experience in Florida and the opportunity to meet Mickey Mouse and swim with dolphins
• £70,000 - Chartering of the Santa express and flying 100 very special children to Lapland to meet the real Father Christmas
